The 52-year-old actor took to Instagram to express his frustration and slam online trolls for constantly parent-shaming Tori, over what she chooses to feed their children.

When his wife actress, Tori Spelling, 45, shared a post of two of their children — Stella, 10, and Hattie, 7 – eating Little Bites strawberry yogurt muffins the mummy-shamers began openly criticising Spelling in the comments over what many claimed was a poor nutrition choice for kids.

“There is nothing healthy about these and trying to pass them off as such is a true disservice to your fans,” commented one fan.

“You know how people tear apart your children on social media for their weight, why on earth would you take on this kind of endorcement [sic] and further subject them to this kind of public ridicule? I’m baffled and blown away by this,” wrote another.

Dean exploded!

Having reached the end of his tether, McDermott shared a video message with his followers, condemning the haters.

“Hey everybody I am sick and tired, sick and tired, of everybody taking a shot at my wife Tori Spelling,” he began.

“Just because she’s a celebrity they think they can say and do whatever they want. She posted about a snack. It’s a snack, people. Haven’t we given our kids a snack before? Cakes, cookies, whatever. It’s a snack.”

He added, “She’s a great mum. We’re great parents. Our kids eat healthy. They eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and occasionally they have a snack. So can we get over ourselves?”

“Well listen, to all you parents out there who think they are holier than, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Why don’t you just right size the problem? It’s a snack people, get over it!”

“I’VE HAD ENOUGH!! This is newsworthy?? Leave my wife @torispelling alone already!! It’s a post about a snack!! A Snack!! Do you not give your kids snacks?? What’s wrong with people?? #backoff #thisisnews? #stopsocialbullying #stopbullying#peopleinglasshousesshouldntthrowstones #hypocrites #imfurious.”

In the past Dean has also shared his outrage after fans body shamed his children. Read more about that here.

  • Children love snacks. I don’t know nay parent who never gives their child a snack whether it is supposedly healthy or not.

  • It’s great he hit back at the haters but unfortunately trolls will always be there so just ignore the hate and feel the love.

  • Good on him for hitting back!

  • People are so judgemental, it’s just a snack

  • Not ok to judge other people and make them feel bad when your opinion or advice isn’t even asked.

  • It must be so hare to be a celebrity and have to hear negative things all the time. What she does is no ones business and the trolls need to be ashamed of themselves for being such bullies to her

  • No one should be harassed or their children criticised full stop. But Tori doesn’t protect them from it either. When you earn your living by promoting your family online these poor kids are going to be exposed to the toxic souls out there
