I could only laugh as I listened to Tova Leigh so accurately describe the not so pretty side of parenting!

Check it out, it’s hilarious:

As a Mum of 4 I can so relate, can you?

  • My son had an upset tummy and he vomited on me. I had to stay in those clothes for hours. I certainly got some rather funny looks.

  • Very funny post – but how true to life.

  • Lol I had a couple of giggles with this one! One of my worst experiences was when my daughter had the runs and it came out the side of the nappy while she was standing in her play area, down her leg and onto the floor, she then saw this amazing new thing and started playing with it!
I’ve also had vomit completely cover the highchair tray and drip onto the floor!

  • haha, been through this four times. When my eldest was about 2 I was sitting on the floor and she was patting the back of my hair, I asked her “ohhh sweetie, do you love your Mummy and that’s why your patting me” and she so cutely and innocently replied “no, I’m rubbing the boogies off my finger”. Bless her.

  • So true, lol ! But it’s not that disgusting really :)
Yesterday my youngest got her nappy off and smeared it all in bed. I suspected that she also ate some poo. I was surprised with the wise reaction off my 12 year old who responded with “mum, poo is just food what went through your body, it’s not that dirty. Better eat poo then some dirty bug”. I agree with her, it’s not that dirty.

    • te he ..sure your 12 yr olds father is not Kenny. lol. Kenny: I don’t know what all the fuss is about, it’s 80% water and we’ve got chemicals to take care of the remaining 20.

Wishing you a wonderful clean relaxing night. xx

      • Hehehe, lol ! No my 12 year old’s father isn’t Kenny ;)

  • Being a parent sure can be disgusting! You deal with everything imagineable and then some!

    Reply

  • Yep – you do have to deal with lots of these things – but I love being a parent and it does not bother me.

  • Yep, you really do need to get your hands dirty in order to parent.
