These easy no bake biscuits are a great sweet snack to curb your sugar cravings without a whole lot of refined sugar. They are also great for the kids lunchboxes as they’ll still think they’re getting sugar filled biscuits, they’re that good. Make some today.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of oats
  • 3/4 cups honey
  • 2/3 natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp salt

What is your favourite low sugar treat?

  • By the expression on the boy’s face I suspect if they get too cold they may go hard and difficult to bite.
Weetbix slice is cooked but we always leave the top a bit soft otherwise it is very hard to bite and chew.

  • Ooh wow, so easy. The only ingredient I need to buy is coconut oil. Everything else is in the pantry, ready and waiting!

  • these sound great, but alas, my son is allergic to nuts

    • You could use a seed butter, rather than nuts, which is helpful if it’s for school anyway. Sunflower seed butter would be my first suggestion otherwise coconut butter (melted before stirring on).

  • I make my oat-cookies with mashed banana instead of honey and do bake them shortly, so they don’t melt in the heat.

  • Sounds good – how bad do they melt/run in the Aussie heat?
