Hello!

My kids have already watched re-runs of re-runs of the second season of our favourite Blue Heeler family. So I couldn’t be more excited to hear the news that Bluey Season Three is coming soon.

It’s almost impossible to imagine a world without Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli. If the cheeky pups aren’t playing up on your TV, they’re fluffing up your pillows or popping up as figurines in imaginative games.

The first season of Bluey launched onto our screens in October 2018 and this was followed by season 2 in March this year. The second batch of season 2 episodes (52 in total) are scheduled to be screened later this month on ABC Kids (and on Disney+ internationally).

Bluey Season Three Is Coming Soon

But there is no such thing as too much Bluey so we were thrilled to hear that this “award-winning animation series Bluey has been greenlit for a new series,” according to an ABC announcement.

Bluey season three will start production in Brisbane later this year and for the first time, will be audio described (a live verbal commentary provided through infra-red headsets to assist fans who are visually impaired).

“We are excited to confirm, that more Bluey is on its way! As we roll out this new season with heart-warming and hilarious new episodes, the excellent Ludo team will be hard at work again making series 3. Thank you to all Australians young and old who have loved Bluey as much as we do,” The ABC’s Head of Children’s Production, Libbie Doherty said.

“We’re so happy to be given this opportunity to make a third series of Bluey and look forward to working once again with the incredibly talented and hardworking team on brand new episodes, led by our brilliant show creator Joe Brumm,” said Ludo Studio’s Executive Producer of Bluey, Charlie Aspinwall.

When Will Bluey Season Three Launch?

There is no launch date for Bluey season three as yet, but we predict it would probably be around Autumn 2021. Watch this space.

In the meantime, while we wait for Bluey season three, we can binge on all-new episodes from series two from Monday 26 October daily at 8am on ABC Kids with a repeat at 6.20pm. Plus there will be a special sneak peek Bluey episode especially for Grandparents Day on Sunday 25 October from 8am.
