A pregnant mum has shared how much her baby bump grows over the course of the day, after she was trolled for her ‘tiny bump’.

Influencer Emma McVey, who is already a mum to one-year-old, Chester, with former Geordie Shore star, Gary Beadle, took to her Instagram to share a snap of her bump at 15-weeks.

“7am this morning and 7pm this evening…I’m definitely going to have a bump in this pregnancy,” she wrote online, showing the difference in her stomach over the course of the day.

Emma was trolled relentlessly through her first pregnancy with Chester, with people telling hero to ‘go and eat something’ online.

“Wtf there’s like no bump at all ,” one person said, while another said: “She’s got the tiniest baby bump ever.”

In an interview with OK! Magazine at the time, Emma said nurses in the hospital even commented on her baby bump.

“The staff couldn’t believe how small my bump was compared to the size of the baby,” she said.

This was my 12 week bump update ????????- no not much of a bump yet but definitely a little more round, and I’m sure I’ll pop a lot earlier second time around! I really regretted not documenting my bump in my pregnancy with Chester, more because I just couldn’t be bothered with the grief I got for being so small (crazy when you look at the size of him now ????). But I’ve decided no matter what size bump I have this time I’ll definitely be taking photos to look back on! Update – to be honest I’ve felt ABSOLUTELY horrendous, exhausted, sickness tablets, faint…I really struggled with the first trimester, and the fact you can’t rest that much with a wild toddler, work and house work to keep up to, makes it pretty hard ????

  • One of my now deceased relatives on occasions told the story of how she went to the Dr when she was about 7 months pregnant. Her own Dr. was away and there was a locum there. he asked how he could help her before she told him she was pregnant including how many weeks. She wasn’t really showing and he hadn’t noticed she was pregnant.

  • I knew someone who said she was pregnant and at 7 months she was still trying to convince everyone how far along she was. She never looked pregnant until she was almost 8 months along. About 2 days later she looked like she was due to give birth. Not everyone shows they are pregnant.

  • What I recall is that at around 16 weeks, things changed quickly and dramatically. It almost went from no bump to bump.

  • Why does everything need to be documented these days? Maybe she just had a huge amount of food that day.

  • We are too thin, too fat and never happy with ourselves. I ask; would this woman have had the same reception if she was morbidly obese? No then people would shame her for being too fat, too big, eating too much. Let’s all support each-other instead please. #Womenpower

  • My bump was very noticeable from early on, but it was all fluid and an average size baby in there! When my waters broke it was like in the movies hahaha So glad I was at home when it happened

    • I had similar experience and it was quite an adventure.

  • I lost 20kgs with gestational diabetes (I have since found it again sadly) and most days I looked like I had just had a big dinner! One day it popped out and I got so excited but the next day he was hiding again!

  • I well and truly showed but my sister got a huge complex and visibly became upset when people constantly told her she was so small (at 35 weeks she was pretty much the same size as me at 15wks!!!). She was so afraid that something must be wrong and it made her pregnancy one of fear and anxiety when actually bub was fine.

  • I think she looks fabulous ad no one should judge anyone else. I am sick of people thinking they know a person, better than the person involved knows themselves.

  • Everyone has different bodies pregnant or not. I got told how big I was and then at the end how small I was.
