This dad certainly didn’t have an iron stomach when it came to changing his daughter’s nappy.

A video of 29-year-old father Brendan Andrews, from Girrahwheen, Western Australia, has gone viral on the Internet, thanks to his hilarious gags at the obvious bad smell when changing Baby Olive for the first time.

As well as dry retching, the dad covers his nose with his hoodie to mask the smell.

Mum can be heard saying “You can do it. You can do it!”

Amused by her dad’s retching and funny noises while he changes her, the three-month-old baby, Olive, starts to giggle as dad, Brendan, tries to keep things together.

CLASSIC!

How did your partner cope with the first dirty nappy change?

  • My husband watched this in disbelief lol, he was like, it’s really not that bad. I had a bit of a proud wife moment then :) my dad used to be like this changing my sisters nappy, I remember he had to do it in the laundry incase he vomited!

  • I know one Mum who had her babies pretty close together. She didn’t cope well with changing soiled nappies when she was pregnant. A couple of times are vomitting several times earlier over a couple of days she got her neighbour to change one of them. Dehydration became an issue for that Mum. Her husband was away for work so he was unaware of the situation until he got home.

  • My husband was useless when it came to caring for our children.
My daughter has said that it was like i was a single mum and I agree.
Three children and I can count on one hand the number of times he changed a nappy.

  • I found him quite exaggerated!!
My husband was actually the first one to change our daughter’s nappies. The nurses showed him because I was stuck in bed, and he explained me afterwards.

  • If you want to make a movie topical it is very easily staged, now from a man who changed thousands some are worse than others even you girls must admit that however on the average they are not even slightly offensive to change. However I can remember one and a certain episode in a old safe cot that was not pleasant.
