Hello!

We’ve covered a number of unusual Kmart hacks over the years. But most of them have something to do with decor, styling or kitchen shortcuts. This Kmart pool noodle hack is just a little bit different…and definitely not one for the kids.

The humble pool noodle has a wealth of hidden talents. We’ve taken one on holiday to use as a makeshift barrier for a bunk bed. This mum’s pool noodle hack is also bedroom related – but comes with an age restriction.

A creative mum shared her pool noodle hack on the Kmart Hacks & Decor Facebook page, saying how she used the pool noodle to solve a common bedroom problem (ok, I’ll stop beating around the bush – I’m talking about noisy sex!).

If you happen to be enthusiastic in your bedroom romps, bed-heads have the tendency to knock against the wall and disturb the neighbours or sleeping kids.

Noises In The Night

The mum was sick and tired of her teens complaining of  “noises in the night” so she came up with the idea of cutting a $2 Kmart pool noodle into pieces and fitted it around the bed-head.

“Noisy bed? Pool noodle works well,” she revealed and included a photo of her genius hack.

The mum was applauded for her creativity and members said this was ‘the best hack ever’!

Pool Noodles Will Sell Out!

One commenter predicted that Kmart is going to have a run on their pool noodles as a result of this idea.

“Middle of winter and sold out of pool noodles,” they said.

I will “never look at anyone carrying a pool noodle in Kmart the same again,” one amused member said.

Awkward!

However, one member pointed out that she may get some awkward questions as to why she has a brightly coloured pool noodle on her bedhead.

Another suggested that instead of going through the pool noodle hassle, she should just move the bed away from the wall.

“My bed’s got a space between bed head and wall for this reason,” the comment read.

Personally, we think this pool noodle hack is just fabulous – we all need a bit of a laugh.

  • Good hack, and another hack is to buy these inexpensive noodles and take them on beach holidays. We once stayed somewhere where you paid to use these at the pool and the cost was more than the price to buy.
