LITTLE girl suffers a rare condition which means she could die if she gets upset.

Four-year-old Isabell Tipper has four life-threatening Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) which causes her to go floppy and her nose, lips, fingers as well as toenails to turn blue.

The youngster was diagnosed at six weeks , reports The Sun.

She underwent emergency open-heart surgery at six months old where doctors cut the excess fat and muscle from her pulmonary artery.

But it has now grown back and doctors say they must wait for Isabell to “deteriorate more” until they can give her a life-saving pulmonary artery transplant.

Concerned mum Kimberley, 27, from Birmingham said: “It’s absolutely heartbreaking. They are asking us to watch her get worse in front of us.”

Meanwhile the mum-of-four along with her fiance Ian Salat, 38, have decided to appeal to strangers to send Isabell birthday cards to keep her spirits high.

“Isabell has always loves getting mail,” her mum explained. “So when we read about a poorly little girl in America who asked for strangers to send her post we thought it would be perfect.

“We need all the help we can get and we want to make this birthday extra special for her. If she doesn’t stay happy it could potentially kill her.

“When she cries she doesn’t breath fully, and because her heart is so weak that’s enough to starve her of oxygen. She goes floppy and her lips, the tip of her nose and her finger and toenails start turning blue.

“It’s horrible, it’s like she’s no longer with us when it happens. Thankfully we have always managed to calm her down.”

We wish her all the best.

  • The medical staff are probably hoping she will stay well for longer and grow more before they do the surgery. Heart surgery carries a higher risk than many minor ones do.

  • Wow how hard that would be to be told that she is too well for surgery. Poor little thing
