A quick and easy school holiday project your kids can do / help you to make.


Material

  • 1 toilet roll
  • paint, paintbrushes and a black texta
  • small lengths of coloured yarn

Method

  1. Paint the toilet roll and set aside to dy.
  2. Once dry, make small holes around the base of the roll. Thread a small length of coloured yarn through each hold and secure with a knot.
  3. Paint a face and you're done!

  • I love the simplicity of this project a fun activity to do with the kids. Uses up those pesky toilet roll middles and could be used as a decorative mobile in a baby’s room.

  • My goodness! I will have to start saving empty toilet rolls instead of throwing them out. I LOVE THIS QUIRKY octopus!


    • Haha, thanks. My daughter hasn’t seen Finding Dory yet but is convinced this purple octopus is in it. She takes it everywhere.
