1 lucky mum will win an Owlet Smart Sock Plus Worth $549.99

The Smart Sock Plus can track your child’s heart rate, oxygen level and sleep trends with readings available via the Owlet Care App s from birth to five years old (up to 25kg). That’s right, this baby monitor allows parents to track their bub as soon as they’re born up until early childhood!

But what exactly is the Smart Sock Plus tracking and how?

The Smart Sock Plus tracks a baby’s heart rate, oxygen level, and sleep patterns via a comfortable sock that wraps around bub’s foot. Parents can gain insights into their child’s well-being via the Owlet Care App. But it doesn’t stop there – the Owlet Care App and the sock’s Base Station notifies parents when their little one’s readings are in the preset zones or if their little one’s readings fall outside the preset zones.  Owlet Smart Sock Plus Competition Image

This baby monitor offers parents more confidence, more freedom, and more peace of mind – all factors that can lead to getting more sleep while your bub snoozes, too.

With the Smart Sock, 96% of parents say they felt less anxious and 94% of parents reported better sleep quality.

  • It may seem ironic but the best advice is ‘Don’t Be Afraid to Ignore Advice’. You can be easily swamped by all the wonderful people trying to give you good advice.

  • When your baby arrives, your love for that newborn will be like their bowel movements, overflowing!

  • trust yourself, and enjoy you look back and it was only short amount of time next the are starting school

  • Don’t stress when having your first about knowing what to do as it just comes naturally. Also if you’re really tired during the day take a nap while baby is sleeping as the housework can wait!

  • you can’t prepare for everything

  • Do what you feel is right, don’t be pressured by social media to be the mum that you aren’t meant to be.

  • The best advice I was given was to let go of the ‘shoulds’ – my baby should be doing this or that, as a parent I should be doing this…. Approach each day as a fresh day with minimal expectations and enjoy and love your baby as they are TODAY!

  • Enjoy your sleep while your pregnant because that will go straight out the door once but has arrived.

  • Never wake a sleeping baby!

  • Just take one day at a time and try and enjoy this stage of your child’s life

  • Nothing Goes as Planned – be adaptable, think on your feet and trust yourself. Be prepared to do things differently – after all every preganancy, birth and upbringing is different & unique so embrace how you want to do it

  • It’s normal for infants to have short sleep windows, so try to reset your expectations. Also know that your sleep is important, too, so grab sleep when you can.

  • Take any offers for help, any. Also don’t be scared to ask for help, as you’ll need it. Even if it means someone watching the baby while you catch up on sleeps, it’s important and worth it.

  • A happy mum makes for a happy baby. Look after myself too

  • First time mum is tough, you’ve read the books and get told what to do from midwifes and clinic nurse and if things are not as they should be, you feel like your failing, so think best advice is, there is no wrong way, just do what works for you!!!

  • Get lots of waterproof mattress protectors. For your bed, the cot, the guest room. Your life is about to get a lot more fluid.

  • this would be great for my 12 month old neice shes teething really bad at the moment and also a bit snotty, my sister isnt getting any sleep because shes worried about bubs.

  • I dont know, I dont have kids, im a aunty and babysitter to my neice and nephew but people tell my sister = ask for help if you need it and try make time to still do something that you want to do., like my sister loves the gym so at least 3 times a week she will ask me or someone else to babysit for an hour and she will go to the gym. im entering for my 12 month old neice.

  • Don’t listen to peoples labour stories, if they were so traumatic , no one would ever go back again!

  • “Enjoy the moment” , this was repeatedly told to me. No matter how messy my house was, I was told to be there in the moment and breath. Always remember no matter what, you are your child’s everything. Happy mom is the mom your child needs.
