Advice for wisdom teeth removal

Hello!

“My 15yo son needs to have 2 of his wisdom teeth taken out and the dentist has given him the choice of the chair or to have a general – any tips from mums who have been there done that? Is one better for recovery than the other?” Do you have any advice for wisdom teeth removal?

Wow poor thing, 15 and wisdom teeth already. I guess it depends if they have come out of the gum or need to be cut out? I had all mine taking out in the chair while u was pregnant and they came out very quick and easy. I would be asking more questions from the dentist and X-rays.

I’d be taking the general. Wisdom teeth can have a much bigger root on them and usually require more pulling than usual.

Much faster recovery in the chair with a local than he will under a general.
