I recommend a water birth without a doubt!! I’ve had two and they were by far the most relaxing and magical experiences! My last vaginal birth was great but very painful (out of the water)!

that would be a great experience.i have sat in a giant bath at the hospital but i had to lay down to give birth

Good luck with what you choose I have never had a water birth and really don’t plan to either.

I wanted a water brith but was not able to because I had complications I do know the Gold Coast public hospital offer this though

You don’t even have to stay in the water you can get out if you choose to but water births are excellent

I tried water birth was excellent and what I wanted to do but I didn’t give birth their I tried but ended up having major complications but while I was in labour I preferred the water as it helps

Ask your midwife for more info or google it. Just know that all birth plans can change last minute. Would love a waterbirth but being a high risk pregnancy I think that will be off the cards for me.

I had a waterbirth with my 4th and loooved it – contractions were sooo much easier and it all felt natural – I cant recommend them highly enough!!

Have you asked your midwife for more information? She may be able to give you something to read. I didn’t have a water birth, however I have a friend who had one with her 3rd and she recommends it.

Do lots of research online, there are threads on parenting forums about this. Make sure that you have a firm grasp of pros and cons, but you have to do what you are comfortable with. Waterbirths are supposed to be fantastic, but if you’re not confident about doing it, then give it a good long think.
