As a reader/ reviewer, I generally hate self published works. Yes, I’ve read a few good ones. But most are amateurish, haven’t been edited properly, and need more developmental work. Some are actual drivel.

I haven’t. But as a book reviewer, be very careful to get good editorial and / or sub editing support. This can make a huge difference to how professionally your book turns out.

There’s probably lots of help out there to self publish, but I would be wary of being scammed.

If you go to australianselfpublishinggroup.com.au they are a community of self publishers and maybe might put you in the right direction. Im actually in the throws of writing 2 books so im starting yo look around aswell at the moment. Im going to send them off to try and get picked up by a publishing label but if all rlse fails then ill be going self pub aswell… good luck
