  • my best tip is keep it simple. you can still have a really nice gettogether without making it hard for yourself because you need to be able to enjoy it too

  • We never had a Christmas party, there’s enough expense involved with family, food and presents on Christmas Day for heavens sake

  • Plenty of finger food and plenty of champagne! Have everything ready to go so you can relax and enjoy the party!

  • start buying presents now, and wrapping as you go – that way you will be done by chrissy. also, buy a few more items each shop so it is not a huge expense

  • Love a Christmas party, plenty of planning in advance!

  • Sweet and savoury finger foods, a variety of drinks and good music.

  • if its a party for adults a naughty santa can be fun with adult gifts

  • I think the best tip is dont go over board and try and prepare as much as you can in advance.

  • Definitely keep it simple with a touch of Christmas decorations

  • If it’s a xmas party then make it feel like xmas. Put the xmas tree up, maybe have some bon bons if you’re having a sit down meal or at least some for the kids. Have a red and white or red white gold colour theme. but keep it simple. Ask guests to bring a salad or meat to share for bbq. Definitely a couple of pitchers of pimms or another xmas cocktail.

  • Keep it as simple as possible, may get your guests to bring a plate or a salad, helps you out with the preparation, as much as we all love to entertain it’s also nice to relax and enjoy like everyone else

  • I love doing fabulous finger foods and a special cocktail and some alcohol fun fun fun

  • Keep it simple, BBQ, lollie bags for the kids, backyard cricket and just get people to bring their own meat and throw a few salads together. Pretty lights or a few candles scattered around and of course a Christmas tree with lights. True friends don’t need all the over the top shit and glitter. It is meant to be a time to have fun and share the good times.

  • Best advice is to prepare prepare prepare. Have things ready to go the day before. And if you can, cook/prep the week before and freeze. If anyone offers to bring something, make sure you take the up on the offer. Keep cooking simple – if it’s a roast, do roast and veggies, cheese and crackers and dip, then something scrummy for dessert – trifle, pavlova (something that goes around to everyone).
