  • Soy crisps are a hit in our house, i usually put a sandwich with fillings of their choice, mandarine, apple, yoghurt, soy crisps, and one compartment that changes everyday, simple healthy and they still cant eat all of that!

  • So glad I’m not navigating the whole school lunch box issues now. It certainly is a lot harder then it used to be

  • Sushi is a healthy option or rice paper rolls!

  • Cheese and biscuits, carrot sticks and dip, different shaped sandwiches, sushi, fried rice, home made muesli bars (lots of recipes on here)

  • how about small wraps? or veggie sandwiches

  • There are heaps of great recipes on pinterest too

  • Fruit salad, a nice dip, some easy made slice or fruit muffins,

  • Soak some chickpeas overnight, then pat them dry and lay them on a baking sheet with some olive oil. Bake them in a hot oven for half and hour. It’s a perfect healthy snack. My daughter loves it.

  • Savoury muffins, pizza and vegemite scrolls, sushi, crackers with dip and veggie sticks.

  • If your on facebook there is a page called “Lunchbox Ideas For Kids” they have some great ideas.

  • If you are wanting to cook stuff, muffins are great and can add grated veg too them. Zucchini slice is a great one, quichies.

  • I have a Facebook page with lots of super easy, pantry friendly lunch box ideas. Try my low sugar weetbix slice, choc zucchini cakes, banana carrot muffins and more! My page is called Yibba Yabba Mama. https://www.facebook.com/YibbaYabbaMama

  • When I was in school mum would sometimes pack cheese, kabana, carrot sticks, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and some water crackers. I loved it.

Also you could make up a veggie slice and have it ready to go

  • I always keep wholemeal mini tortillas to fill with leftover veggies & cheese or omelettes and send them as rolls with tomato sauce.

  • Thanks ladies. Slowly making a list of things to try
There are websites with heaps on there that i just found

  • I am inspired by bento style lunches.
This photo was my 2.5yr old’s lunch at daycare today. Whole orange cupcake, apricot bites, tortillas (avocado and cheese), popcorn chicken, grapes and blueberries.
Lots of the stuff I made from http://www.trtlmt.com.au/the-ultimate-lunchbox-resource/ which is for thermomixers but most of the recipes are fully adaptable for those who don’t have one.

  • Love all the ideas suggested here. .also I find amazing recipes on here (the mom site) because we are all passionate moms we have wonderful and helpful recipes.

  • Mini savory quiches are a fun idea, pikelets & muffins too!

  • I make a batch of savoury mini muffins and a batch of apple each weekend (often carrot and cheese and apple or banana) and keep them in the freezer. I cut up cheese sticks from a large block (cheaper and better quality cheese than other cheese sticks) small fruit like little mandarins, lady finger bananas, cherry tomatoes are popular with my kids as are the little yoghurts.

  • My kids love a little pot of Hommus with some carrot sticks to eat. They love the Fosters Clark custards that don’t need to be refrigerated. Pikelets. Home made treats like healthy muffins, cupcakes, stick of Kraft cheese stiks doesnt need the fridge either.
