I had no idea when I had my daughter, however after other friends and reading recommendations this time with my son we went with Avent, absolutely brilliant, wide easy flow teats and you can upgrade as the child grows. We bought the starter pack of 4 bottles and then upgraded the teats until now when we are changing him to sippy cups (also ended up with an Avent sippy cup)

i found that advent were the best because they have different teats for different age groups

Medela Calma is good for breastfeeding babies as it works in the same way. My second would only use the Mimijumi teats. They are shaped like a breast and dimpled. There are no set ones to avoid or to use. Your baby will probably decide for you.
