I wish this was easy as I would be doing it.. So hard as a mum trying to earn extra money!

A lot of people have been talking about competition sites and surveys – what sites do you go to? Particularly competitions? I always get nervous that they are scams or will give me a computer virus.

I’m interested in this as well and had a look a couple of years back. There does t seem to be that many work from home jobs out there. Unless you run your own business so I’m interested in what others have to say also.

Alliance Insurance offers part time work from home roles. Jump on their website and have a look. It’s brilliant!

i started doing surveys and joining compeitions etc when i had my baby, usually do them at night when the baby is sleeping.

My friend is on maternity leave but she does captioning and transcripts.

It used to be a lot easier to find work to do from home – book-keeping, typing up of reports, etc- now technology makes it too easy for companies/managers to do it all themselves! There are plenty of survey sites around, but the pay is little for the time and commitment you have to put in. If you’re handy with your hands – arts and crafts, jewellery, etc, you could consider selling home made items online.

What are your talents or skills? There are jobs you can do from home but you have to promote your business and develop a good repertoire with clientèle. Do you have any current certification in areas such as business administration, retail, business management, writing etc that could help you work from home? You could work as an online personal assistant if you have experience or are good at bookkeeping, admin etc. If you know how to bake, you could start a cake making business from home. Got sewing skills? Graphic design, bookkeeping ,beauty therapy, hair dressing, baby sitting etc. These are all jobs that can be set up as home businesses so long as you’re enterprising and have the skills. IF you don’t have any transferable skills to work from home, get the skills first. Then build. Remember that there are agencies that can help you obtain skills, government back small business loans etc that can help you have your own business from home. Best of luck,

I have a lot of friends in the party plan industry with things from selling candles to natural products like trinature and natures way. but you have to leave home in most cases to sell it until your have lots of people hooked on the products. BUT all of my friends who do this have had to return to work either part or full time as it was never enough to fully replace a wage.
I would do a business ourse of some sort so you have a understanding of whats involved in running your own business. Then look at suppliers from overseas and think of starting your own website. selling things from home and on ebay. That way you can work hours suitable to you and around your family. My husband did this but still needed to get a part time job just to be sure there was money comming in to pay the bills. But before you do get fadvise to see if the outlay to start it up is worth it.

Sadly the days are gone where you could pack items for a factory at home…most things go OS now. Have you tried to Advertise your skills in your local paper?

After having my second child we decided it would be financially more beneficial for me to stay at home as daycare us so expensive in our town. I still wanted to make money and contribute. I started using Herbalife and quickly fell in love with the products so signed up to start the business side as well. I’ve now lost 24.5kgs, huge energy increase and improved health and now making a full time wage, working part time around my kids. I love helping people and enjoy it. Also; I suggest you Google some online forums by people that have set up a business from home; it may be useful to learn from their experiences.

A few ideas : Book keeping if you are qualified, run your own business (plenty are set up via Facebook) – if there’s anything unique or that you are passionate about ie jewellery making, sewing, crafts, there might be places that offer out posted jobs for data entry, uni students may want course notes typed up etc. You could advertise on gumtree, online coaching (if that’s your thing) some people start blogs and end up being paid for their work

I’m lucky enough to be able to do some work from home for my husband’s business. I handle the social marketing/networking side of things. Maybe you could find a small business who doesn’t have time to manage a facebook and twitter account, or somethin similar?

There’s not a lot out there unfortunately. Online surveys is something you could do but often the $ reward is almost not worth the time taken.

I want that too but survey companies are great. Valued opinions, my survey, pure profile, my opinions is good too. All have gift cards or paypal but pureprofile does cash at the moment, good luck!

Even i searched for such jobs for a long time.most of them are scams.only things i have seen is some surveys provided my some survey panels like valued opinions, my survey etc.it consumes a lot of time.sometimes i feel the time we spend and the amount we get for it is not worth.usually they pay as paypal or supermarket gift cards.

To be honest not alot or legitimate. What about tupperware/nutrimetics/scentsy etc would you do a party plan business?

Have you tried job sites and researched these type of jobs? May be useful to do. Good Luck!
