Day care should help with this issue. They get better as t[ime goes by

I found what worked was just to leave my son for a short while, only half an hour, a few times, then gradually increase the time at care. All the best. They don’t remember being distraught when they are older. Its just us parents who remember.

It’s a hard one but as everyone above has said once you have gone they are most likely happy. You can also find out what they play with there and what they like there and then as you are going there talk about all the fun stuff they can do that day.

I thought my daughter was the same until asked the child care workers who told me she was fine within minutes of me leaving. Maybe ask them to see if she is anxious all day or if it is just at drop off.

My son was the same and it took quite a while to settle him into a routine, but even occasionally now he will lay up at drop off. I find the quicker I leave (it’s horrible doing it and you feel so bad) the faster he settles in and I get a message from the care saying hes playing happily. Having mum or dad hang around makes it so much worse alot of the time. Good luck
