Hello!

Okay I was at a teenage do last night, and noticed a particularly colourful idea. The lady had used plastic wine type glasses, with smarties, and some sorts of little wrapped chocolates, she had filled each one up, then on top had put a cupcake, for the ladies it had a shoe iced on top, for the guys it had a boat. Very colourful and seemed to lift the whole table full of goodies as well. Has anybody made these for little children. I guess you would use a small plastic type tumbler, and put a small amount in each with the cupcake, sunk a bit into the middle, otherwise to many sweets and hyping children up… You could also use a toothpick and put the names on for each person on a small square of paper, if you wanted to, with the name sort of flying above the cupcake.

  • No never done it but it sounds like a gr8 idea 😀

  • Would be great instead of a lolly bag and piece of cake to send the kids home with.

  • Wow!! I’ve never seen this before but it sounds a great idea to liven up the table!

  • Pinterest is full of ideas like this, worth a look

  • I haven’t seen that exactly, but that sounds great.

  • I love these, Spotlight sell everything you need to make them & they are very cost effective.

  • I’ve never done this but i will now 🙂 great idea

  • What a great idea. I will have to remember this next time I have any sort of party. I think for kids I would use the plastic or even boxes.

  • I have seen this done with ice cream cones before

  • What a wonderful idea may have to try for next kids party

  • These sound wonderful. I could see these at childrens parties, they would be great for taking home instead of lolly bags .

  • Sounds like a great idea…I love lollies and cupcakes.

  • Sounds like a lot of work, but a great idea.

  • Were these to take home or eat at the party? If they were to take home, I’d say it was worth the effort, but if they were for eating straight away, I’m not sure I’d go to the trouble. Depends on the age of the party guests.

  • kids always love the special thing that is just for them so they sort of things always win and as you said looks great on the table

  • Try a small toy to fill the cup up a bit. I’ve done this instead of lolly bags for a six year old – inexpensive melamine cups filled with a few trinkets and a few lollies. Kids and parents loved them!

  • Anything colourful would work. They could be wrapped in clear cellophane then placed in the cup, colour matched or topic themed.

  • a great idea, but a lot of work for a party

  • Sounds like a winner but I think less lollies would be better when talking about young children! Maybe you could place two mini cupcakes on top of each other with lollies layered in between!

  • they sound great, would be interesting to make
