Have a positive journal, or a positivity bin where you write 1 thing you are blessed by. Even the smallest thing, it may become easier etc. If you are having a super bad day where you can’t see any positives, read over what you have written.
First don’t push yourself, take a break if you need it, maybe buy a gratitude journal I found one at kmart for $5 this week just helps you find positive things in each day… be kind to yourself.
I know it is harder if you live in a country area and there is very few people have free time during the day. On good days can you put your baby in a stroller and go for a walk, even if only for a short time to get out of the house? If you put your washing machine on while doing other things you may gain some time later in the day or if your baby is sleep you can have short “me” time while the washing machine is working. is there a place in your area that has a Mum’s Group or Playgroup. As far as I know Playgroup is once a week. You do have to stay there with your child so it means there is other Mums there. Is there a YMCA (Ladies and children can go there – not just males) or CWA? CWA sometimes have guest speakers. Check with your Local Council. They usually have a list of groups in the area. Some have information papers for some of them.
Find your village. Doesn’t need to be a traditional one. There are lots of ways to meet people as a Mum, check out your local activities and try online Mothers groups that find local Mums in your area. Then don’t over do it, you are only human so be kind to yourself and don’t expect too much.
Look after you. No guilt. When possible take some time out doing something you enjoy even it’s it’s just briefly so you can recharge and feel revitalised.
Try & remember that nothing is as urgent as it feels. It’s not an emergency! That seems to be my mantra… take five minutes, hot cuppa & deep breaths. Yoga, coffee with a friend kiddo free. Reconnecting with yourself & other adults. It’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity
Try and make some time for yourself. Even if it’s treating yourself to something you enjoy. If you can’t get help watching bub, find things that you can do while bub is sleeping that you enjoy.
If it is at all feasible try and make some time for yourself. Even if it’s just when bub is asleep do something you enjoy even if it’s just for short periods to treat yourself.
Get out of the house for a while. Leave your babe with someone and do something for yourself. I know it can seem hard but you need to have some time to reset. I’m sure you’re doing a great job babe.
I make the time to have some along time and use an App called Calm to do a meditation. They have heaps to choose from and they have varying times……meaning even 5 minutes timeout helps to recharge. I also stopped taking my phone my into the bedroom……I found I slept better and then when the alarm went off, I’d get up straight away rather than hit snooze and lie in bed checking socials.
be kind to yourself, spend a day in your pj’s if you have too, don’t shower if you have too, don’t clean when bub is asleep use that time to recharge your own batteries. Treat yourself to a coffee and 10 minutes of reading or drawing, or a craft project you like that makes you feel good. Sometimes just a long hot shower can be enough to get you over the line after a long tiring day – remember your not alone though if you need help reach out to someone, outsource the washing or dog walking or something until your feeling more like yourself! -
All you need is to make sure you get all the nutrients you need, eat lots of fruit and veggies, raw greens, big salad for lunch, and even veggie juices. Try celery juice every morning for detoxing and get your energy going.
