We have a google home hub set up in the loungeroom that I can monitor them on and talk to them through, haven’t really considered in their rooms though. Their main fighting is in the loungeroom when an adult isn’t present lol

Sounds like a good idea. Anything to help you cope as a parent, it’s such a challenge bringing up kids as it is let alone with these behaviours

I think if if gives you peace of mind it’s a good idea will teach the children that cameras are everywhere these days. On the streets in shopping centres and busses and trains. Will help them understand that good behaviour is best at all times. Honesty and tell them it helps you sort out the fights easily.

I was just reading your question another time. You write you sat up your tablet in the doorway so you could keep an eye on them while they cleaned their rooms, while you went shopping. The fact you can go shopping tells that you can trust them to a certain level, which is great. What age are your kids ? I know for one that my girl would remove or obstruct or destroy camera’s would she discover them

I can relate to your question. I have a foster daughter with an attachment disorder, very severe kleptomania and conduct disorder. I’ve thought many times that camera’s would be good, actually I would a camera on her whole day lol ! So far we haven’t done that, but choose to lock all bedroom doors except her own. However we still had plenty of incidents with danger aspects and child protection involved
