It depends what you need to be motivated for. If it is say motivation to exercise remember why you need to be fit and healthy. Write a list: e.g. To see my children grow up, so I won’t be in pain, so I won’t have to take medication, to save $ long term, etc.
If you are a visual person keep a photo of a skinnier you and remember how great you felt.
Or perhaps Memes are you thing. Write them out on post-its and place them around the house and in the car.
Doing one thing that is different each day can break the cycle of groundhog day. It does not have to take a long time, start off small and build on it.
I think the best motivators are the positive feelings of achievement, success, self-respect etc. that come with doing something you’ve been putting off! Taking that first step (whether its with study, exercise, chores, kids etc.) helps the next, ….. so maybe try and focus on how GOOD you FEEL about yourself and the world once that first step to a task has been taken. Reward yourself and allow yourself to feel good.. you’ll be back for more!!
I seriously lack motivation too. I know what motivates me to exercise is I remind myself it’s good for my arthritis and osteoporosis. This works most days but not always
