Hello!

Just wondering if anyone has some great pizza topping ideas for kids. My kids love homemade pizzas but inevitably we end up with the boring ham, cheese and tomato topping. Especially my daughter who is very fussy. Any suggestions for what we can add that the kids might enjoy?

  • Ham and pineapple is popular with kids or do a salami, olives, capisicum and feta!

  • Roast pumpkin cubes, pineapple, cubed fetta, baby spinach leaves, capsicum, olives if anything like my foster son. Get them to help make them – more likely to eat them. Even purple cabbage and sweet corn (make rainbow pizzas)

  • pineapple, capsicum, differnet cheeses (fetta etc) perhaps cookedcubed pumpkin, salmon, salami, chicken, mushroom… My foster son loved homemade pizza and i’d get him to top his own (from 2 years of age) he loved it and would even put olives on. I find if they are involved in making it they are more likely to eat it.

  • What about adding some pineapple if she likes that?

  • Chicken, bacon, egg, pineapple, capsicum, boccocini. Make faces on the pizzas, get the kids involved in making them. Make it fun and they’ll be more inclined to eat them

  • Mozzarella cheese. It’s very fun and stringy. Grate it on as usual. Cherry tomatoes sliced.

  • Prawns, chicken, pepperoni, garlic sauce, pineapple, olives, salami, if in doubt make a desert pizza! Chocolate, marshmallows, sprinkles and icing sugar!

  • sweet potato pumpkin feta

  • My daughter loves it very simple: mozzarella, tomato sauce and olives. My favorite too!

  • Anything goes, on a pizza.
    Thinly sliced potato
    roast pumpkin
    olives
    sautéed onion or leek
thinly slices zucchini (peeled is best)
    mushrooms or champignons
    corn kernals
    roast beetroot
    baby spinach
    fetta, bocconcini, mozzarella

  • We thinly slice pumpkin and cook it gently then pop on the base of the pizza over the sauce, you can then add a mild red capsicum finely chopped. My kids love mild salami shaved and placed all around the base. Add some ham, cheese or bocconcini and a bit of baby spinach. Tasty and healthy.

  • salami, mushroom, olives and try different cheeses
bbq sauce, yoghurt swirl, garlic sauce (garlic in plain yoghurt)
chicken breast, steak, bacon, onion, capsicum

  • My daughter loves baked beans & cheese

  • Was good to read some peoples answers in here but we are totally fine being boring with just ham cheese and pineapple LOL

  • Get the grater out and get the kids to grate some foods and just create a mix of ingredients on top of a pizza. Even if they only have a bite, they are trying stuff they wouldn’t normally. And who knows, they might like it!

  • Good ol ham cheese and pineapple

  • Carrots, zucchini, mushrooms and chicken .

  • This web site has it all, as far as I am concerned its brilliant. :-)

  • Roasted pumpkin, pine nuts and corn go nicely together. For a bit of a twist on traditional pizza I make hummus to use on the base instead of tomato sauce. It adds a creamy, nutty flavour.

  • Carrot, pineapple, apple, sweet potato, pumpkin?
