  • I’m not exactly sure about apples being a cause, but I know other fruits can. I can’t eat raw Bananas as it makes me very nauseated to the point it feels like a hangover.

  • Although apples have been a well-established symbol of good health, they are high in fructose, a carbohydrate that can upset the stomach.

  • Not usually no

  • I have found they do for me

  • My older daughter who is almost 11 can’t eat apples of any colour as she says they make her feel sick, so it’s possible.

  • If it’s not eaten much or if it’s a small child eating it, yes it can have this affect. To me they are just yum

  • I’ve heard this before too. Sometimes those old wives tales have an element of truth in them.

  • I think too much ( extreme amount ) sour foods might because of acidity , but fruits are suppose to be healthy . I like a touch of sourness in fruits such as mangos, oranges , Pink Lady apples ( which are the best ) . I also use Ginger in cooking and drink ginger and peppermint tea which is good for the digestion too so if you are concerned balance it out with some other foods , but consult a doctor of you are truly worried as never heard of it before .

  • i wouldn’t think so unless she had eaten heaps of them

  • Yes sorry I should have put its my daughter who had the issue, I had never heard of it happening before but for three days straight she had an upset tummy and lots of wind and the only thing I could think of is she ate a green apple every day

  • Yes, very much so! I cant eat them but can eat golden delicious and red apples. Can have the same effect on babies anc children too.

  • Not that I have experienced.

  • Probably if they are not ripe. One great thing I found with apples if you have an upset tummy or gastro it is good to peel it then grate it and eat it when it has turned brown.
