Yes you can
Pop them into freezer bags & they should be fine.
Divide them up into single uses so it is easier for you to get them out & if your freezer has drawers maybe pop them in one of them so they don’t take up to much of your freezer room.
You sure can. As long as you only use them in cooking recipes after defrosting as they like their crisp freshness after being frozen. You could also store them in jars of olive oil, add some garlic and herbs if you like. Then you have the added benefit of flavoured oil as well
I freeze chillies all the time and just remove them from the plastic bag as I need them. Have been freezing chillies for quite a few years now and never had a problem.
try freezing both fresh and dried chillies. You could also keep dry chillies in an airtight container without having to freeze them. Just hang them upside down in a sunny spot from a piece of string until they are completely deydrated
I didn’t know chillies can be frozen thanks for the tips. One question though, once thawed do they stay chilli? My grandad dries out the chillies and grinds them in the coffee grinder and they’re super chilli I love it
I like the chop up method, then spread them on a tray and pop them in the freezer till firm, then simply pop them in a freezer bag, suck out the air and pop them in the freezer. By scattering them first and freezing till firm, when you put them in the freezer bags I find when you have to use them they are not all stuck together. Good luck:-) with what ever method you use.
