A colourful box. Because that is all that she will car about. Teddy bears, playing blocks, soft balls, stacking rings, an activity table or cube to encourage standing. Google presents for 1 year olds. There are plenty of suggestions.
My daughter was about the same age for her first Christmas. I bought her a box set of board books, a soft dolly and then splurged on a Tiffany necklace and pendant to put away for when she’s older. Her various grandparents and aunties went crazy and bought lots of clothes, toys and books which was nice but she’s not going to remember it. Although I do admit it’s hard not to go crazy when shopping!
My daughter was almost 4 months old with her first Christmas. I got her a decoration for the Christmas tree, a wooden one. I wrote in the back: “My first Christmas, 2002″ and I haven’t stopped this tradition since then.
You could get her some decor items that she will appreciate once she is older, as a baby I was gifted a gorgeous porcelain merry go round it played music was a wonderful gift.
