Christmas tree is going up 1st December

Hello!

I didn’t put my tree up until late last year and had a terrible christmas, this year it is going up on thw 1st December. Do any other mums find this tradition an old wives tale or a shred of truth in the statement.

I try to put it up December 1st every year (or in the first week of December) and it seems to bring our family good luck. Funny thing was my mother was always like the Christmas tree cant go up till 12 days before Christmas which has always puzzled me. I think its just more personal preference.

first weekend of december is perfect for us. Everyone gets to help. Any earlier is too much and later and kids go nuts asking.

We always put our up sometime between 1 December and the first week of the school holidays. That seems to work for us. Hope your Christmas is good for you and to you this year!

I really don’t like trees going up before 1 Dec. I don’t like Christmas parades in November either. Surely December is Christmas month.
