  • I love red and gold!
They are two of my fave colours.

  • You could also do blue and silver!

  • Red and green or blue and silver are classic combos. What about black and white? Or black and gold, or white and any bright color?

  • I really like white with gold trim – always very stylish and clean looking.

  • I love lots of red and green, very Christmas!

  • The usual, traditional colours are greens, reds, silvers and golds. But I’ve never been one for tradition. Pick a colour you like and decorate in differing shades of it. I’m sure it will look just as good

  • I don’t think you can go past the classic green and red for Christmas

  • Some good answers here – sometimes one colour is more effective than 2. What did you go with and do you have pics?

  • We like to put pink, blue, green and gold baubles into a glass vase with a string of battery operated lights – super pretty and neat on the table.

  • yeah you can go classic colours- red, gold, green

i love black and gold- looks so good and very sophisticated- and also really good when people spill things– and they will!

if you are planning on having a centrepiece or something– build your colours around that and play with it to see what works.

my friend had a really cool mismatched theme for a party. nothing matched and it was great

  • I’m seeing a lot of purple around this year! Personally I think purple & green is lovely. It for Christmas I’m more into traditional colours!

  • I reckon red and white or red green and gold would look very nice all depends on what you like

  • We did silver and blue last year, on our tree and on the table. Looked amazing. Red and gold is always lovely too.

  • I love white and red

  • stick to the colours on your tree so it all matches.

we did purple and silver last yr looked amazing

  • Red and Green; Gold and White; Silver and Maroon; Pay attention to the shades in your dining room so not to clash. Simple is better. Don’t over do it. Keep all things on the table low so as not to obscure view when people converse. You don’t have to go to great expense, there are plenty of napkins etc in the less expensive stores. Or you may like to have linen table cloth and napkins, with all the flatware for courses. It depends on how casual or formal you want. You may like to print place names and set your table and have people seated how you would like. You may like to have a table off the main table where guests can fill their punch drinks, tea, coffee as they need to if it is a casual setting. For the sake of safety may I suggest that you do not serve alcohol.

  • Green and gold
    red and gold
    red and green and gold
    silver and green
    silver and gold
    purple and silver
these are some of the classic ones but traditionally because it is christmas either gold or silver is used in the decoration. you could use white and silver or gold that looks great too.
    ENjoy!

  • My favourite are traditional red, white and green
but I also love the turquoise/blue with white and silver :)
