Hello!

So my question is…..
After falling pregnant very easily the 1st time which resulted in a cesarean, has anyone had any issues or road blocks falling pregnant the next time around???
We are at month 2 going into 3 of trying. Maybe I am impatient!!!

  • It took us 18 months to fall pregnant with our first and 2 months to fall pregnant with our second but unfortunately we had a miscarriage. It’s been a year since I fell pregnant last and we still aren’t having any luck.
I know secondary infertility is a thing, but if it’s only been 3 months I don’t think you need to worry about anything.

  • I agree, 2-3 months of trying is nothing !

  • Hopefully you’ve since fallen pregnant – but I think you are impatient, you haven’t been trying for long!

  • My first one was no even 4 months old and I was pregnant again after a C-section. Maybe you try to hard, causing stress what impacts your fertility. I would advice just to relax and focus on other things, go on a holiday and enjoy life, your hub and child.

  • They say generally a year. Which TOTALLY doesn’t help when you want a baby really bad I know!! I don’t really have much helpful advice though I’m afraid haha
I fell pregnant without even trying/wanting to the first time when I was on the pill religiously and we used a condom. Sadly it ended in miscarriage. Then we tried for 18mths after that and I ended up having to go on Clomid for 2 cycles before falling pregnant with our daughter. Turns out I have PCOS which fertility specialist said I had probably had for a long time prior to his diagnosis (useless GPs!!!). We are going to try again in the new year so hoping we’re not in the same boat again. There’s only so much ‘don’t stress’ and ‘don’t think about it too much’ and ‘just relax’ you can handle!!! Good luck mumma!! I’m sure you’ll get your little bundle soon enough :)

  • I am sure that it will happen for you soon. Hope so good luck with it all.

  • It was role reversal for me! Took over 12 months to conceive our first. The second, I had only had one period after stopping the pill and I was pregnant

  • yeah give it a year, it will happen before then though. i know that you are keen so i hope that it doesn’t take too long. oh well, more time to get prepared for the new baby then hey. Good Luck.

  • Our bodies change a lot after having a bub. My first 4 bubs were conceived first time, bub number 5 took 10 months bub number 6 first time.mits different for everyone. In the meantime have fun trying lol.

  • Relax!
It will happen when the time is right for you, & when you least expect it!
Don’t stress yourself or this was impact your conception, romance romance romance!
Feel the love before you make love & fingers crossed it will happen very soon for you.
    Best of luck.

  • I have been told to wait 6-12 months before seeking help

  • Worry and stress can impact on getting pregnant and being able to relax is so important.

  • They say not to worry if it takes 6 months or more unless you are over 35. Then they recommend a chat with your gp

  • For myself it took in between 8-14 months to fall pregnant for subsequent pregnancies

  • They way that on average it takes 12 months to get pregnant so I don’t think there’s anything to worry about yet. If you do want to expedite the process though I’d recommend acupuncture. Just make sure that your practitioner is fully trained in pregnancy and fertility treatments.

  • My second took over 12 months. The first was really easy. My hormones/body changed after pregnancy and it took a while for everything to normalise. 2-3 months is not a long time as there is only 25% chance of conceiving if you have sex at the right time.

  • There is no set timeframe for falling pregnant. Relax and let it happen – good luck!

  • They say not to worry if nothing happens for the first 6 months. Be patient! :-)
