Hello!

It’s a common thing here that photos or videos are used in a creative way to announce a pregnancy.

  • No, nothing fancy here. Had my kid before it was a *thing*. I also didn’t really have many friends so didn’t see the point.

  • I just went over to my parents’ house and told them.
Everyone else just got a text message lol.

  • Nope – I was spectacularly boring, and just said “I’m pregnant!”

  • No. We just told people as we saw them, rang a few people who lived a long way away.

  • We rang our parents and told them. That was it. Didn’t feel the need to spread it any further then that. Big announcements weren’t a thing back when we were expecting

  • We didn’t with our first 2 as back then there wasn’t any big way of announcing. With our 3 yr old my husband put a photo of a bun in the oven on his Facebook to see if people got what it meant but that was about it lol. There are some great ways now though

  • Nothing creative about the announcement but decided to do the home test at a special time (happened to be Easter morning!) and spent the whole day feeling very special with the ‘new life’ confirmed.

  • We told our immediate family personally but then just uploaded a status update on Facebook for everyone else. We just said “ov bun en” (bun in the oven) and let everyone figure it out themselves.

  • Oh! That’s so sweet. What a nice idea!! 🙂

  • We are not very creative so we just announced it an easy way by presenting our parents with a photo of the ultrasound. We have also announced it by saying “look we have a new book” – and showing them the ‘I am going to be a big brother’ book.

  • No, I didn’t. Simple phone calls to the most important people, even if full with emotions because I got pregnant with IVF. 🙂
