Hello!

What’s everyone’s dinner box recommendations? We get Dinnerly and love it, it’s very affordable and recipes are yummy and quick. Just seeing if there’s any out there I haven’t heard of or are equally as affordable. I’ve found Hellofresh to be too expensive and they now do a slot fee as well as delivery fee.. a bit high if you ask me!

  • We’ve tried both Hello Fresh and Dinnerly and found both of these great. Dinnerly was slightly cheaper when we did it and was just as tasty.

  • I tend to alternate between everyplate and dinnerly. The meals can get repetitive with everyplate, but they tend to have more meals for the price you would be paying for the minimum elsewhere. Most if the boxes require you to have some items already at home, so be aware of this when selecting which meals you are ordering. Dinnerly usually requires more items from home, so can be cheaper because of this.

  • I like everyplate. It’s cheaper than most of the others, it’s not packed as fancy as others, I prefer to get the actual recipe cards instead of either sifting through emails or logging in online to get the recipe.

  • I live by the motto “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. If you love Dinnerly, find it affordable and it works for your family then why change it?

  • I usually get marley spoon. They are the same as dinnerly but have a printed recipe card. I don’t think there is any difference between ingredients quality

  • We’ve done hello fresh and everyplate. Everylate is more affordable but we’ve recently found out it’s getting packed in and sent from Sydney so coming across states. So this is making me question the freshness of it, and with the covid outbreak I’ve decided to cancel it completely and try buying the ingredients myself to cook

  • I got a voucher for everyplate in my bounty bag. I decided to give it ago, i chose 3 nights of dinner for 3 people. It was free because of the voucher, it arrived on my front doorstep at 7am on sunday morning. The food was very fresh and the quality was amazing, the best before dates on the meats were 7 days away so i had plenty of time to cook them. The portions are very nice and big. They food tatses amazing and there is plenty to choose from. In the photo ive added i dont like pesto so i whipped up a creamy garlic source insted.

  • Loved hello fresh for the recipes and taste overall, just found portions a tad small

  • I would recommend dinnerly

  • I have used HelloFresh found it was too fancy for our family, we currently use EveryPlate and absolutely love it. Generous portions and family friendly recipes

  • We get hellofresh and the 2 person meals make 3 or more for us. It seems a bit expensive but there’s no food wastage for the week

  • Maybe check if there are other online reviews for such products?

  • You could try everyplate if they deliver to your address. I think they are owned by hellofresh, they are a budget one.

  • Never used them and interested to hear the feedback and read the answers.

  • Yes very interesting to know if they are really worth the money I think they are a little expensive

  • I am interested to hear other people’s experience as well.

  • Ive used a few but most *feeds two* just feeds my husband because he eats so much. So i don’t bother anymore.
But i did like Marley Spoon

  • I’ve heard good things about Marley spoon and pepper leaf, haven’t used personally though

  • I just bought Dinnerly too! Excited to try it soon ????
