Im interested in this post as we too are looking into purchasing a new dishwasher. We currently have a bosch and I hate it – doesnt wash properly and the settings are hard to use.

We had a family of 7 growing up and mum always had a fisher and paekel because it had double drawers. She’s had a couple now and loves the brand. I also have one and have found it to be a good brand of dishwasher.

Consider your kitchen layout as well–if you have an open plan you’ll want something that is quiet. We have a Bosch.

I bought an Asko a few months ago and it is brilliant. I always thought my LG was fine but it doesnt even compare to the Asko.

Has them before gone back to the old way . Keeps the family together , bonding quality time together and sorts the men from the boys or girls!!!!!

I highly recommend staying clear of Omega dishwashers.. I am really disapointed with ours and customer service is shocking. Turns out once i read reviews, most ppl are unhappy with this brand. Waste of $800! Good luck finding one 🙂

I agree a mid range price one should be fine but check the warranty and the two drawer ones aren’t as good. Especially for a large family. Fisher and Paykel or I have heard Miellie (not sure on spelling) is good too.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for over ten years and I swear by it.

LG r good. But make sure you check out the warranty on what ever washer you buy

LG make a range of dishwashers for larger families and are fairly reliable

don’t get a 2 drawer one as you find filling both drawers all the time and it is not as big as normal one. Look for q quick cycle if you have a large family as we had one which was 1.5hours for a quick cycle and it is too long to wait for it. something along 30 -45 mins is good.

We are going to be looking up to up grading ours shortly ours came with our house is hopeless. Its the Kmart brand. Have a look around and look on the web for reviews
