Hello!

Need advice mums! I’ve tried doterra euclyptus oil in the diffuser for my stuffy baby and didn’t think it made any difference. Does a vaporizer work better to help a stuffy baby?

  • I find the diffuser with essential oils work so much better than a vaporizer. We use Easy Air from doTerra or Breathe Easy from Little Innoscents.
It doesnt work like magic, but much more effective in my opinion.

  • Essentials oils work for some things but not everything. I use it for headaches but it doesn’t do much when I have a cold

  • I love essential oils for everyday. It will take a few goes to help your baby with there stuffy nose. You will need to put at least 3 drops in the diffuser to get the benefit from it. Keep going with it.

  • I don’t think there’s a noticeable difference when using essential oils, at least for us. I just use baby balsam, put a pillow under the head of the mattress, clear her nose out and have the humidifier running when she’s sleeping.

  • The Vapourizer has the oil that you mix in the water that comes out in the steam which you put in the bedroom for them. Some essential oils are very expensive but you need to use what works the best for you and the affordability as well.

  • Vaporizer will help clear chest congestion due to the humidifier action , warm steam is great for reducing congestion rather than just essential oils in a diffuser.

  • It’s very individual. I find for congestion doterras easy air is best. But chemist warehouse has some great baby specific oil blends. Sometimes finding the best oil can be tricky. If you have someone who sells oils they generally have a really good grasp on it all and can talk you through the best ones and give samples to try etc.

  • I love my oils! We have used them a lot. Sometimes it’s not just an oil that is needed though! Atm my daughter is recovering from a virus, so we have a cushion under her bed to tilt her head plus essential oils.

  • I don’t think essential oils work for everyone, but there’s no harm in trying them as long as you use them in a safe way

  • I don think they work, but I don’t know that there’s specific evidence either way.
