  • I never took my teen to story time at a library – I didnt know that was a thing or I might have when he was little.

  • Yes, I’ve taken my kids. It’s great for their cognative and languge development and a lot of songs have actions that help with their fine and gross motor skills. It’s also another opportunity to meet other kids and parents

  • I’ve always wanted to do this but then the pandemic hit and it was lockdown so I’ve never had a chance to.
When lockdown was over they never resumed them at my local library so I’m quite disappointed that both of my kids missed out.

  • I used to take my daughter all the time. She loved it and activities varied each week. Sometimes they would dance during intermission, and on special occasions they would have special guests like a wildlife ranger with an assortment of reptiles for the children to learn about and sometimes touch.

  • Yes i love it. They do stories, songs and some craft

  • yeah it would be good! great way to pass the time

  • One of my favourite activities to do with the kids. I just love going to the library, always have since a young age and I hope I’ve continued that love with my kids

  • I used to take my daughter up until she was three. She loved it, and her favourite part was at the end when they’d have a little sing-a-long and a dance.

  • Our library doesn’t do it (Small town) but I would if they did.

  • My babes love story time. Ours is run by two guys alternatively each week. They are amazingly patient with 20 interruptions per story about “Uncle Jim’s boat” or “My dog Suzie…” or the ever popular “I love Frozen!” Storytime is always followed by a craft that relates to the days stories but my favourite was the bear hunt where they took the kids right through the middle of everyone’s offices. Good job guys!!!

  • I used to take my two regularly when they were younger but now they are a little old for it. I think it’s a great morning out.

  • I really wish that I could but the library near me runs on Wednesdays which is the day that I have my boys in daycare :(

  • Unfortunately it isn’t offered at our local library, but I do take the kids to the Under 5’s Literacy Day and Under 8’s activity day held by the council every year. Lots of free activities on offer. My sister in law takes her kids to her local library every week. I think they do singing, reading, and craft.

  • lol never my kids are 3 and wouldnt be quiet

  • Libraries are really great for kids of all ages!

  • Nope, we tried but my boys get over stimulated and won’t sit still and if I let them run off steam before we go then they want to sleep or don’t want to interact/listen :( We might try again next year.

  • I used to love taking my children to story time, I think my favourite times have been when the author of the book comes to the library to read her story. The children love when there is some singing as well as reading.

  • I have done a few times

  • The themed craft days are the favourite and best days – :)

  • We go sporadically… I can’t say we’ve had any stand out experiences, but the kids enjoy it.
