Hello!

I have been desperate to lose weight after having 2 kids, and I’m hearing a lot of success stories with the Garcinia Cambogia weight loss program. Has anyone tried it? Does it really work? Does the garcinia cambogia diet work?

  • Oh my gosh, I have never heard of this one. It amazes me how many wierd and whacky diets are out there. I really think eating a healthy low fat low sugar diet is the way to go, and don’t include a great deal of meat.

  • Sounds like a scary fad diet.

Best way to lose weight – stick to real food – if it has more than 5 ingredients don’t eat it – stick to 1200-1500cal per day if you are female.

  • I think it is a life style change for long term weight loss.

  • I seen so much about this diet and I am very sceptical about it! I don’t trust it…another fad! I have a feeling it could possibly act like a laxative! For anyone to loose that amount of weight in the time frames suggested is simply not healthy! I would recommend seeing your GP or a nutritionist if you really want to lose weight.

  • Good luck and I hope you find something that does.

  • I too want to loose weight after having my 2. I have tried fad diets and while the work in the short term the weight comes back on after the diet is finished. As a result I went and saw a dietician who has me on a strict diet but every 2 weeks when i see him he introduces things back into my diet, so the weight is coming off and by the end of it i will have had all food groups introduced back into my diet so with any luck the weight will stay off. I suggest speaking to a dietician. You can usually get 5 free visits to one with a referral from you GP depending on what state you live in.

  • I did some research on it and well some say yes some say know
I now just breastfeed my newborn baby and run after my toddler all day and since i nurse my newborn i was too scared to use anything except apple cider vinegar which really helps in slowly losing some weight

  • Try ‘Lose Baby Weight’, they have a facebook page and website! Catered to Mums!

  • I have never heard of that diet before but i do know of one diet that i do know that works and that is the Atkins Diet. This diet i have done my self and my sister has done many times. It is the best diet around and the diet all the stars use to lose weight. It can be hard to stick to but you get fast results even with out exercise but if you exercise you will get even faster results. My sister has been heavy all her life up to and past a size 16 and she has gone down to a size 10 with this diet it really works and with in 2 months you lose a significant amount of weight so your not having to diet for 12 months with this diet to see results.

  • Ive never tried it but if you do ,I would like to hear how you go.Ive hear a high protein diet works with no carbs

  • I wouldn’t recommend a fad diet. Most of those diet plans are insanely low calorie. Aim for 1200 calories a day, low sugar and fat and high protein. Couple with some light exercise and the weight will fall off eventually. Good luck in your journey

  • I have never heard of it..but from experience Herbalife is a great product that can be had while breastfeeding/pregnant etc or, the Dukan diet- it works but i wouldnt reccomend as you have no carbs and therefore little energy 🙂 With a mixture of those two i have lost 26 kilos!

  • I have never heard of the diet and being a girl on the size 16-18 side post two boys I’ve discovered the best way to lose weight is basically a lifestyle change. You have to be in the right frame of mind to do it. Slowly making healthy changes and def exercise. I was losing a fair bit of weight but then put weight on without realizing when I moved to a diff area and now I’m pregnant so I’m just eating healthy and having vegies with every meal and doing light exercise.

  • I have never tried it but fad diets tend to be a scam. they probably have a lot of good things in them to help but exercise and diet would be the biggest factor

  • I haven’t heard of this but I have never done a diet. I have always managed my portion sizes and watched what I eat. I continually exercise by running three times a week, playing netball once a week and daily 20min indoor exercises which I follow off workout pro app. This works for me, Good luck I hope you find something that you are satisfied with and works for you.

  • Any Fad diet is not going to help. You need to fix your way of thinking before embarking on a healthy lifestyle change..that’s right a lifestyle change. There is no use losing all of the weight on a diet and then going back to the way you were eating, you will put all of the weight back on and then some.

  • Good nutrition is the key to weight loss as is regular and gentle exercise

  • I have never heard of it, but I think all fad diets are just gimmicks to make you spend your hard earned money. After I had my twins, I had a huge floppy tummy! I just started to exercise a little each day, and carrying and looking after twins was exercise anyway, I also made sure I ate right, and the weight just went. I don’t believe their are any quite tricks to losing weight, it takes a long time to stack it on, and it will take a while to shed it. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

  • I haven’t tried it, but after my second child I joined Lose Baby Weight and bought the smoothies. They did help me lose weight and I found the whole program very motivating. It’s not gimmicky at all, they offer smoothies and meal plans, and lots of support. You can even submit your favourite smoothie recipes and healthy hints/ recipes which I did a few times, and they pay you for them! ( Smoothie of the month is $100 I think and each submission used pays $20) You end up feeling part of a very supportive group I really liked it. I lost 5 kgs in the first month, and 4 kgs the next month, going from 71 kgs down to 63 when I fell pregnant again. I was 60 kgs pre-babies ( I’m on my 3rd now). I still have my smoothies and will be starting up again after my baby is born. Also what really sold me is that it’s 100% breastfeeding friendly and even supports your supply. I was KILLING myself with so much exercise and eating very limited healthy foods and it just was not budging since I was breastfeeding and my body holds it on when I am. I did a LOT of research and this was the best, most affordable, non gimmicky, proven, healthy program you can do from home there is. Go for it I say!

  • I spoke to a friend who said she bought these pills. She said that they did nothing for her, but she also said she wasn’t exercising
