I found an electric kids toothbrush in Coles, that has minions on it. My son is a big Minions fan, and likes to watch us brush our teeth. We started using the electric toothbrush with some Jack and Jill brand flavoured toothpaste, and it’s become less of a challenge. He’s 2, so some days it doesn’t matter what we do, he just won’t comply. On the days he’s in a good mood, this is working for us. Good luck!

I spent countless nights in desperation over this. We kept at it, we used stickers, praise, brushing teeth songs from the internet (try Elmo) and eventually, we got there. I think it was getting older and understanding that nailed it.

As i said, usually a healthy reward does help!

make it a game, and do it together get her to help you brush yours, and a mirror works wonders when they can see themselves brushing

buy the toothpaste for milk teeth, they like the taste and it doesn’t burn

i give mine one they can play with and i found that got them use to it

I would take her to a dentist. Brushing straight after a meal can lead to acid damage, it’s better to wait at least 30 minutes after eating.

let her choose her own tooth brush. we have about 5 different toothbrushes for my son. one in each bathroom and the rest he sits next to his bed. he brushes his teeth al lthe time. make a game out of it, make it a fun time not a boring time

Ive heard of musical toothbrush’s but I’m not sure the age range

She is only young, but I would start letting her have a go as well that way it may make it fun.

We sing the brush your teeth song to our little girl and she things it’s hilarious, she starts beaming as soon as the sees the tooth brush

Make it a race to see who can get all their teeth done fastest. Once she is used to it then slow down and teach her properly.

I get my son to practice cleaning the teeth on his teddies & other toys! Then I ask him to show me how he does his own! It works for us.
