sometimes I have to spoon feed my 3 yr old to get him to eat! depends on the age? make food fun, like tacos, fruit kebabs. get them shopping with you and they choose?
let them have more freedom to pick. instead of “eat your dinner” (that mummy made and mummy picked) you can say
“would you like chicken or beef” and let them help fetch things or pick plates so basically just get them involved
Give them foods you know they like and foods you want them to eat, that way they will eat something but each time they eat a food you want them to eat put a sticker on a food chart and they can go shopping with you for a small item that isn’t too expensive but they are happy with.
Bribery always works well! Most fussy eaters that I have known can also be distracted from their stubbornness when you stop making a big deal out of it!
I have a fussy eater so i make her a strawberry milk (smoothie) with hidden extras in it. Just make sure it tastes nice and they don’t know the difference
reward chart, make food interesting, get them to help make it or make it all themselves, My 3yr old daughter wouldn’t eat broccoli until I got her the break it up for me and put it into the steamer, she loves it now.
They say it can take up to 30 times of offering a child a particular food before they will eat it. I say continue to offer it along side things you know they will eat, and eventually they will give it a go!
