Hello!

Hey mummies was wondering if anyone could recommend some great books to read. I’m not really into just one genre love lots of different books. Just need some new things to read.
I have Google play books so read a lot of “Indy” authors or unknown authors too.
Thank you so much ladies 🙂

  • I like a bit of everything too, and will read almost any genre
Gods call girl by Carla van Ray – biography I couldn’t put it down
The social diary – an easy read
P.s I love you – I laughed and cried while reading this couldn’t put it down.
    The Rosie project
    Chocolat

  • Oh thank you so much for the suggestions. These should all keep my busy for a while. Although I tend to read books in 1-2 days.
But so excited to start reading these all. Love books others suggest rather then finding some myself as feels more sentimental. 🙂

  • My must reads are:
From the Corner of His Eye (Dean Koontz) TRUST ME – it is my fave book ever
Pillars of the Earth (Ken Follett) – epic and well written
All the Light We Cannot See (Anthony Doerr) – truly a delight to read
Little Women (Louisa May Alcott) – has to be in the list
Janet Evanovich One For The Money series – light and fun PI novels

  • Great books from everyone. Will be adding these to my own lists. 🙂

  • I have 3/4 go to authors. One is Clive Cussler, his NUMA files, Oregon series, Fargo series etc are always well thought out and written.
Matthew Reilly is one of my favourite Australian authors. I can never put his books down.
Kylie Chan is another one. She’s created a world where fiction and myth meet reality. It’s awesome.
Lee Child is another good one. His Jack Reacher novels are just soooo thrilling.
The last 3 books i read were
    1. The Great Zoo of China by Matthew Reilly
    2. The Solomon Curse by Clive Cussler
    3. Make Me by Lee Child

  • Why not try going back to the classics like Pride and Prejudice or Alice in Wonderland

  • Kite runner, yellow eye of the crocodile, Stephanie plum series.

  • My faves are The Book Thief, Gone Girl, The Time travellers Wife – I seem to have a knack for reading books that get turned into movies! Only read these if you haven’t already seen the flicks, as the books are way better. Also, Anything by Jasper Fford, and the Girl with the Dragon tattoo series is also fab.

  • I’ve just finished reading “Only we know” by Victoria Purman, set in Kangaroo Island. I liked it!! Love, family, struggles, passion… At this link http://www.harlequinbooks.com.au/product/9781488797828
you can read a chapter to see if it’s something for you, before buying it.

  • Can’t wait to read the fourth and final instalment of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ – the first three had me enthralled – just couldn’t put them down

  • Ohh will have to suss that book. Haven’t read a great thriller in a long time!

  • I love to spend time searching through book shops and coming across books of interest. I have discovered and bought some real surprises and bargains that have become favourites by hunting in bookshops. It is a lovely activity too and a good way to relax and have ‘me time’. Staff always love to chat and recommend books.

  • I love thrillers and Aussie author Michael Robotham is my favourite. He written quite a few and some have characters that continue through the books so a good idea to start with his first The Suspect.

I’m also a fan of JD Robb, James Paterson and Michael Connelly.
