I did when we were all isolating due to covid and I hated it ! Too many products available in store aren’t available online and you can’t check the quality of your fresh produce
Great as a time-saver and can be a good budget saver. Helps to meal plan before hand as well. Click and Collect is also a great option especially when it’s hard to do the shopping with little ones
Time is precious so I use Woolworths Click and Collect. No drama with it. Love how much time it saves me in the supermarket and how much money I save as well, no impulse buying. I’m in and out to collect it within five minutes and can save my lists online and see previous shops. Totally brilliant.
I often buy my groceries online. Very rarely I have I had a dodgy piece of fruit (which only happened the other day with Woolworths delivery). My tip is to order the items that aren’t sensitive to ‘being delivered’. I often think those packing the fresh food, deliberately pick the bad fruit or veggies. My theory is give what I would want for myself.
i do a Woolies online shop weekly, i love it its so much easier than having to drag the kids out with me, they hate shopping! Initially i was not keen on buying the fruit and veg through them because i like to pick it all myself, but i gave it a go and was happy with what i had delivered, there was only one time where i got a lettuce that wasn’t nice and some squashed cucumbers i called them up and they refunded my money and also gave me a credit to replace these items next time. i have had a few times where something i ordered is out of stock which is a bit annoying but you can have items substituted. I love online shopping, it makes my life so much easier!
I have used it in the past but got fed up with ‘out of stock’ items and refrigerated foods with use by dates with not long to go. The reason I want to buy online is to not have to go to the shop physically. But found that most times the out of stock items meant I had to go to the shops anyway. Yes you can get them to substitute but their idea of a substitute item can be quite different. And I couldn’t trust the refrigerated items as I want the longest useby date not with just 1 or 2 days before expiration.
I have attempted a couple of times as Woolworths keeps sending me incentives but its so complicated! In the end of Judy ended up getting frustrated with not finding what I want and givung up!
I will consider online if I am unable to go to the shops myself . I don’t like other people choosing fresh foods for me and lucky I am a disciplined type who don’t buy on impulse much . Frankly fragile items such as eggs for example I would not even think about delivery if possible as so easy to damage.
I did, my last order I purchased a kitchen cleaner spray it leaked through everything even bread bag, rang the supermarket they sent me a voucher to the value of no where near what I lost plus had to repurchase everything I lost couldn’t afford it either. Because of this I will never ever purchase groceries online again
Absolutely. But I am on a strict budget so I purchase online to match my menu plan but then use click and collect – so you order online but pick it up in store (they have it packed and ready for you) to save on the delivery fee – it doesn’t cost extra for click and collect – just what it would usually cost at home except you don’t get sucked in to the impulse buys…..so works out cheaper.
I do nearly all of my groceries online through either Coles or Woolies and either click and collect or get it delivered. All I need to do them is the fruit shop and butchers. So much easier and lots less impulse buying.
I do it all the time! I had a horrible pregnancy with the twins, I suffered from morning sickness the whole time, and the smells in the supermarket made me really sick. My twins are now 9 weeks old and I still do it. If you use Coles and pick an 8 hour window, they waive the delivery fee for you. Just put a note not to ring the doorbell at these times etc. Coles even takes it into the kitchen for you. I found them more reliable than Woollies. I wish Aldi did home delivery 🙂
