Hello!

I have bouts of low blood pressure which makes me dizzy and blurs my vision even when sitting down. Does anyone have any home remedies?

  • I agree with the Licorice comment…I had issues with high blood pressure and was not allowed to eat licorice for a while until things calmed down.

  • Following

  • Cut down on salt, fatty foods, coffee, dairy and avoid garlic.

  • Eat small amounts regularly and visit your Doctor just in case

  • Water

  • See a doctor!, find out why, not eat this or drink this, your health is too important.!

  • When you get out of bed, sit on the edge of the bed for a whole minute. Often people with low Bp get postural hypotension which means , when u change your posture (lying to sitting, or sitting to standing) your Bp drops. This often happens a full minute after you get up. Often people get out if bed, take a few steps, then pass out due to low Bp.

  • I’ve heard eat salt it helps.

  • Rob N Rach Hood any tips here helpful for you

  • Rescue Remedy – Bach Flowers – You can find it in any health shop

  • All great advice – thanks everyone. My BP tends to always be about 90/40. I used to faint all the time when I was aged 13-16, but now I just get dizzy & can control it by holding onto the wall or sitting down when the dizziness comes on. I never realised that salt would help! Thanks for all the comments :)

  • Drink water with pinch of salt and eating two boil eggs with salt helps in low Bp

  • I have to have water with me all the time &mine gets worse if I’ve not been eating enough red meat.

  • I suffered with extremely low blood pressure during my second pregnancy, twice it was recorded at 60/40 my Dr recommended I eat prawns.

  • Drink water.

  • I have the same problem. I find I always have to be drinking lots of water and have small meals more often otherwise I get quite dizzy and sick.
