Hello!

I’ve got another washing related question. My teenage daughter dyed some sports socks bright pink (to stop her brothers stealing hers) and you guessed it…..the newly dyed socks went through a load of the boys’ t-shirts. How can you remove dye from shirts without damaging the picture? Unfortunately the shirts were dry before the teenagers told mum!

  • I hope you were able to solve the problem

  • I’ve used hairspray to get pen ink out of clothes and it worked, haven’t tried it on dye though

  • Dylon make a good colour remover product.

  • Wow, run away sounds great, can’t say I’ve ever seen it. I’m curious to know whether you ended up fixing the shirts

  • in the supermarket there are a few products which catch colour or claim to remove it. have a go with those.

  • If you live in a small town (like me) you may have to go to ebay pffffffffffft

  • Def checking out run away!

  • I use hairspray to get ink /paint/texta out so you could try that.

  • It would of been a chore indeed. I probably would of tried to tie dye it myself

  • I hope your found a way to fix your shirt without ruining the picture

  • Definitely run away! If anything will work it will be that!

  • try soaking in nappisan, or check out shannon lush – google her she is a miracle worker when it comes to stains!

  • Run Away is probably the best help I’ve found so far, but also Sard’s wonder soap rubbed by hand under warm water onto the garment then rubbing it together has often helped me before.
