I didnt. I always wanted 6 kids as growing up I was surrounded by big families and a love the hustle and bussle. My husband said he would meet me half way and we had 3 but I would have loved more and then a health issue cropped up and the choice was taken away from me. I would ahve loved more.

I think ideas about this can change, it doesn’t have to be a set thing. We mature ourselves, our circumstances may change, we can grow into the role of motherhood and feel we can handle more or less and desire more kids or are happy with what we have. Don’t let other people tell you what to do in this regard, this is really something between yourself and your partner

I too am constantly questioning this and not sure how many is enough.

I think that is something you have to communicate with your partner.

once nappies and toddler stage was done i was never again as it drove me mad, to a real dark place, now the thought of doing it all again leaves me COLD

Guess you just know it in your bones – hope it isn’t another person pushing you to have another because the boy or girl didn’t eventuate.

I just know I don’t want any more. 2 is definitely enough. 2 means we can still afford for me to stay home. My youngest just turned 1 and she is the worst sleeper so I am just looking forward to the day I can finally get a few uninterrupted hours of sleep. I know 100% that I am happy with 2, I just don’t have any desire for more.

Some people just know and for some people circumstances guide their decisions.
