I don’t force my kids to eat veggies but I always have veggies on their plate and I always eat my veggies. Plus we speak highly of healthy foods and never use negative language to describe food.

I love adding veggies to food I know my kids will eat ie if I make juice I add spinach or carrot. Bolognaise or pasta you can add pretty much any vegetables too if you cut them small enough. Even sweet treats like cake or muffins can be loaded with vegetables.

Hide them! Spaghetti bolognese, lasagne, muffins you can even add veggies to cakes and biscuits

Grate it up and put it with mince/sauces

I hope you were able to get your children to eat (and enjoy) vegetables.

I feel your pain! it is so frustrating trying to get kids to eat their veggies! I grate and hide them in dishes as much as possible and I am always trying new way to serve them; grated/raw, soups, purees, in wraps, salads, baked….not many are successful but I keep trying, hoping for a miracle!

cook all veggies and then mash them and make into patties with egg to hold together.
or cut into shapes with fancy pastry cutters (like stars, gingerbread men shape etc) shallow fry and serve with
lettuce, pineapple and tomatoes.

i used to blend up veggies and make a gravy with them , i know its cheating but when you just cant get them to eat any .at least you know they are getting some

I use them in alot o my cooking. Hiding it in quiches, mini quiches, pizzas, spag bol and heaps of other stuff. Just finly chop them and most of the time they wont even know its in there

Hide them in muffins, sauces, pies, rice, mash, spag bog, and keep trying. It isn’t easy I know. At least they eat fruit. So you are halfway there.

Mash the vegetables and make them more tasty!!!

Try introducing them to new veggies without telling them they are veggies….say they are fruits

Mother say’s never play with you food… but I had mine shop for their veggies and then we cut them up
in many shapes and dipped them in sauces. We cooked them in hot water, in the oven and on the BBQ.
Have the kids more involved in the shopping and cooking process. It becomes part of a healthy lifestyle.
Let them make some choices. Placing food in the middle of the table is a treat or novelty and kids like to
help themselves.

I found if we have family and friends over and have a dip with cut up carrots, celery etc with an avocado dip the kids love it. If I give it to them when it’s just us at home – not so much though!

there are some really great ideas in MoM Recipes section – love the cauliflower fritters and there are also things like broccoli slaw which might be good too.
