Firstly, the house is not . I had to give up on that. I have a cleaner every fortnight and I get 5 minutes of bliss after she has come when everything is in it’s place before the kids pull everything out.
Balance is a constant effort and. It always realistic. I just have to try the best I can. I try to pre-chop v gatables, and cook big batches of food to have over several days.
Sleeping makes you feel. Ore in control. This I said not something that I am good at, going to bed early, but it really does help.
Let the kids watch tv. Mine get to at the end of the day and it is blissful.. get husband to cook and do his share of housework.
I think ultimately knowing that so many woman are struggling with is same issue actually helps. It makes me feel not so alone and no so much of a failure

I have a 5 yr old and a 5 month old, I find doing the housework of a night works best, always do a load of washing a night so you don’t have dirty clothes laying around. During nap time I mop the floor and I’m always stacking the dishwasher so when I’m doing my nightly clean I can put it on.

I try to plan key things I need to achieve each day. I’ve started using a DMO (daily method of operation) system, where I map out every single hour, and ensure the things I want and need to achieve are given priority over others. It’s amazing how much I’ve achieved and when I don’t do it, I do so much less!! It seems excessive but it’s all about forming new habits.

Just go with it! Insanity is hereditary, we get it from our kids! Or just try and do a little bit each day. At least you’ll know things are getting done even if it first seem like it

I work full time, run a small home business on the side and have two kids and a husband to feed and clean up after. I find the key is embracing the mess… sounds terrible but really I don’t want to spend the only free time I have cleaning, I want to enjoy my kids. I prioritise cleaning jobs that are necessary (laundry, dishes, floors etc) and then don’t stress too much about being vigilant about toys on the floor and those types of things. Chances are they’ll be back on the floor in no time anyway.

I live a life of organised chaos. A little more organised this year because I used a wall calendar for the first time in years. I actually made a point of filling it in with important dates and appointments as wall as work and school schedules. But honestly, our house is chaotic and while it drives me crazy sometimes, it seems to work out OK most of the time.

A planner for every day, week, month and year. I have a priority planner with the hardest jobs first. Get the hardest job of the day done first and all of the other jobs seem easy. I plan every hour of the day and it really does help with getting things done. Factor in free time for you and do something for yourself – it is important. Being organised is the key to keeping on top of things. Not having clutter in the house also makes keeping on top of housework easier.
