  • Write down everything you are eating and when. Have a good look at the list after a week and that might tell you where you are going worng.

  • I read recently that weight training is more effective than cardio for weight loss.

  • I had my last baby 27 years ago and still haven’t lost all of my pregnancy weight gain. I’ve just accepted it and moved on

  • Try doing weights instead of cardio

  • What you eat will allow you to lose weight.
If it took 9 months to put the weight on, then don’t expect to lose it under that time.
If you are breast feeding that also helps to lose weight.
Eat less and you will notice a difference down the track.

  • It’s a struggle but please focus just on diet and not excersize for now. It’s 80% diet. You need to be really strict and not just watch what you eat but now how many calories are in what you eat and stick to a 1200 calorie diet for example. I have found by eating no processed foods, no sugar, no bread no carb and a very high protein diet is what works for me. It’s hard and you will feel like you want to eat more but drink tea and more water, half the time I’ve found I’m actually dehydrated not hungry – up your water intake to 2/3 litres a day – this is vital

  • i was back to normal instantaneously but after 12 months i gained weight again and then took about a regular balanced diet to get back into shape.

  • maybe, it’s about balanced diet and also portion control

  • 28 by Sam Wood is one to consider.

  • walking every day and not eating bread, oil . sugar helped me to loose weight but happens very slowly

  • I have struggled a lot and am still struggling, but i found that being careful with what I consume, such as bread and dairy of which I was having way too much, has helped a bit and walking to the shops or wherever I can with the pram has helped. It’s all a process though and we all need to do it in our own time.

  • Aw bless you, it must be disappointing when you try so hard and have no result. I agree don’t give up the result will come. Personally I would go for low fat and plant based too and if you have the energy do some exercise or even start walking. Juicing can be a good way. Try to find a way that suits you so it easier to persevere. After a while you will feel energised !

  • Eat a low fat wholefood plant based diet and you will lose weight. Also try having celery juice every morning it will detox your liver and reset your hormones, check out Anthony Williams website, books and videos. You may have fluid retention. Low calorie food, lots of wholefood carbs, no processed foods, and heaps of fruit and veggies, cut down or out the fats for a bit, including nuts and avocado’s.

  • It will take sometimes to getting back to normal body.Be sure not to be stress.

  • Try the CSIRO diet. It’s evidenced based and you don’t feel hungry on it because you’re carefully managing intake and output. Good luck, it’s really depressing when you don’t see any shift on the scales. Maybe also judge by the fit of your clothes too.

  • I have just found The Healthy Mummy. Check them out on Facebook or their website.
Great recipes, workout videos, heaps of support.

  • My weight was an eternal struggle but the healthiest option I found was juicing for 3 weeks, surprisingly filling and after a few crappy tired days of no coffee the vegetables and fruits I was juicing surprised me with extra energy and I lost 8 kgs in 3 weeks and I was healthier and more energetic as a result even juicing just one day a week will give your body a break from processed everything and clean your body with juices. Joe Cross is an amazing juicer and has various doco’s and advice to help not only lose weight but to strengthen and heal our bodies with real nutrients. Just remember mum weight can be worn with honour our bodies give life to others and take from ourselves you may feel less tired and more energised and I felt more clarity as well good luck.

  • Oh I feel you. I have the worst sweet tooth. Fingers crossed for you.

  • Just keep persisting and it will shift. It’s disheartening but you will get there.

  • I’m another my fitness pal fan.
I lost 10kg with it before falling pregnant (& I was able to still do Friday takeaways and an ice cream after dinner most nights) and I’ve just started using it again to help lose the little bit of baby chub I got and it’s working really well again. It lays it all out for you and keeps you accountable.
