I would think getting 2 or 3 will give you a better idea of value. I’m not sure of any costs associated with having your home appraised. If they’re expensive I’d probably just look around and pick one.

From experience I’d go with 3 different appraisals. I’d also look online to see what similar properties are selling for and make a list of questions to ask each appraiser.

I agree with MoM165081. I would get at least 3 opinions, and then go with the agent you feel most comfortable with.

We have sold and rented out a few places and always get 3 agents appraisals. Some agents also make a better fit for your personality/ style of home too – go with who you feel comfortable with as well as the possible figures they present you.
