Hello!

I try to cover the cost of the price per child at the party venue which is usually $30 to $40.
Does this seem fair? Does it also depend on age?

  • I usually spend around $30. I think that’s enough.

  • I usually kept it at $15 – $20 per Birthday Party. The money’s just not there anymore. I’m sure the Mum’s understand as they’re probably in the same situation

  • I aim for $30 to $50

  • Usually $20 – $25 cash. The budget just isn’t there for more.

  • I tend to spend $30 for kids up to 12 then $50 on teens. It’s tough because everyone’s budget is different. At the end of the day it’s not about the gift it’s about the kid enjoying their party.

  • Around $20, sometimes less…
We don’t have a lot of expendable income. Sometimes I buy gifts in advance, like when Riot Art had Craft kits for $5.

  • For me it depends on who it is!
If it’s someone close to us and we spend a lot of time with then I’ll spend $50 or more. At the moment our kids are still young so don’t have that many friends but I know I’ll have to cut that down as they get older.

  • I limit myself at least $25 – $35. No more than that. I need to budget it properly.

  • I think that’s pretty generous! I try to limit mine to $20-$30 as otherwise you’ll end up broke!

  • I usually spend $30
I went through a faze of actual gifts
Then as the kids got around the 8-10 yr range I would give cash.
Now as preteens I buy those student/kid gift cards so they can use them for gaming or in store at heaps of places

  • About $30.

  • Usually between $20-25 for gifts. I usually look out for sales and what the child is interested in.

  • We also have a limit of $20 per head for parties.

  • $20 for a birthday gift has been our budget.

  • I try and keep presents at $25 otherwise it becomes really costly. If you know what birthdays your child might be invited too, plan ahead and buy a few thing during sales. I do this and it means the kids can have a better gift for a cheaper price.

  • Im a little confused at the wording of this question. Do you mean how much do you spend when your child is going to a party? OR How much do you spend on the guests to your childs party?
My child going to a party I would spend $15 or there abouts.
If my child was to have a party a venue then I would pay of each child invited as its not really fair to ask people to have to pay for their child to attend. We have always had the parties at home and given gift bags to take home. Usually made up of lollies and something small like bubble mix.

  • I aim for $20, but more when it’s a special/best friend

  • I spend between 20 and 30 dollars. I am a giver of cash too!! My kids have both loved getting money!

  • I must be a cheapskate! $20
