Someone has suggested you start with your friends who may be religious – sounds like a good way to start – talk to them about it, ask them questions. The next step would be to start attending local churches to figure out which one you feel is right for you. For me, once I found the right church, it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders… but finding the right one was the hard part.
I am a Christian and yes, I don’t feel alone – not just because I have a community of friends who support me but also because I know who I am and I know that anytime, in any circumstance, there is someone I can turn to.

I’m not sure what you’re saying or what you’re asking. I’m not a god person and I don’t think you need to be a god person to be a good person. Nor do I think if you believe in god you won’t feel alone. Way too many of the worlds problems are caused by religion, because ‘my god is bigger, better, more loving’ etc Sad because the god I hear about wouldn’t want any of that

I’m not sure its the religion that makes them not feel alone, but the community that can go with it. If church is not your thing, maybe try a community centre, see if there are some groups you could join (sewing, crafting, knitting, bingo) as well. You might just need some company.

I think your question title about how to “fully be a Christian” is different to what you are asking (about not feeling alone etc.). I would not equate the two since I think you can fully be a Christian once you have repented from sin and believed in Jesus (some churches would like you to be baptized to formalize this or do other things but I think the bible teaches that basic belief is enough).

Changing your feelings or life situation is a different matter. You could try some Christian counseling to see if there is anything different you could be doing, or whether a specific church group / social group would help.

Being a young mother with 4 children will also mean you are busy and might need some time out to reflect or “feel” anything. It can also be hard when people “gush” about a “relationship with God”. I’d also recommend not worrying too much about what they might or might not be experiencing. Maybe they can come and help with the kids one day!

Try some christian worship music too. Music is a beautiful way to connect with God. I love Bethel, All sons & daughters for gentle worship. Jamie Grace is a fun upbeat one. Try Pandora to listen to stations for free. Your local area will probably have a christian radio station too.
Include your kids in faith too… say a pray (with what you’re thankful for maybe) at the end of the day. In little moments in the day just pray like a conversation to Jesus, he loves to hear the details of our life. And you may find little moments where little coincidences are like God saying hello

Best place to start is head to your local church and see if they have any kids clubs / activities to help you get started.

Religion may not for you. It’s personal. Don’t worry if it doesn’t fit you.

Start close to home with people you know and they may be able to link you in with their places of faith. Take the time to research and explore for yourself what it may mean for you.

Perhaps contact your local church and attend a service. If you need help or support there are also usually groups there to help also

Having a relationship with God is as simple as believing and being thankful for what you have. You can pray at home or at church. If you believe then you won’t feel alone.

I think it is great you are searching for faith as it is a positive thing . Maybe join a local church group first and see what activities you like to join. I would suggest to join one of your friends whom have advocated this to you and visit their church or equivalent community group with them. Experiencing it for yourself is the only way you know if this will work for you and your family. Find something that feels right, don’t worry too much about the exact rituals of any given church unless they give you comfort or support, everyone’s personal connection with God and the universe is different, don’t force yours based on someone else’s interpretation but they might be able to offer you guidance and inspiration while you find yours. 🙂
