  • Hard work!
Cuttinv out breads and pastas. Pastries.
    Stomach crunches.

  • I’d suggest pilates and yoga. That really helped me.

  • Help, mines still there too 🙁 I want a tummy tuck lol

  • It will happen just give it time. I did a lot of walking

  • Hmmm… Even at my slimmest of 58kg I still have a flabby belly. I have learnt to live with it now haha!! I’ve had 3 babies in 6 years do it’s bound to be a bit floppy

  • My stretch marks and extra pad on my belly are just like my grey hairs lol- I’ve earned everyone of them as is my grandmas saying. In all seriousness I put on 30kg with preeclampsia with my son and it seemed like my belly pouch was never going away. I started walking with my son in the pram around the bay into town a lot and most other places. There are lots of exercises you can do in and around the home. It seemed to take forever, then one day it was gone- well apart from the creamy coloured stretch marks and extra belly pad that really just means I’ve had a bub. It takes time and in time your body will change again, but perhaps not completely back to the way it was. Hollywood has an unhealthy way of glamorising mums unhealthily loosing weight and running themselves tagged to look superb again. Mind you most of those people have been airbrushed in photos and have access to cosmetic procedures etc

  • Don’t stress your self. Remember that it took 9 months for your body to stretch. So it will take even longer to get it back to shape.

  • Ohhhh I wish I knew!! I want the same thing! But I’ve always had a bit of tummy flab so I think sometimes it is genetics….good luck!

  • embrace it, stop stressing over it -it is a part of who you are. Everything we do in life leaves a trace on our bodies. Stretch marks and baby belly let the world know you have created a very special life

  • I would try an do some sit ups to strengthen the tummy muscles

  • After 4 years since baby 3 I have started the 5 and 2 diet. It is 5 days of sensible eating and 2 days of only 500 calories for the day. I have started losing the last 10 kgs, about half way and a lot is from my belly!

  • Depends how long ago it was since you had your baby. For me, my body shape changed after having children and it was never the same no matter what I did, so eventually I just gave up and accepted that – tough but it was doing my head in trying to fight it.

  • Congrats on quitting smoking, not easy, you must be very proud of yourself. This however, can have its downfall as you may be eating more without realising it or it may take time depending how old bubs is. Swimming is the best for the tummy I think & for all over. I’m a swimmer from way back. GOod luck, think positive 🙂

  • Sounds like you’re heading in the right direction so I’m going to try and follow suit.

  • Pilates has worked wonders for me.

  • Changes to your belly are a natural consequence of having children, and all the dieting and exercise in the world won’t take your tummy back to the way it was before you got pregnant. But you can do a lot to lose weight & tone up. It sounds like you’re already doing a lot of really sensible stuff, but it takes time, and I totally understand wanting results NOW. I have a skipping rope hanging on the back door, and every time I go into the backyard, I take the skipping rope and do 5 minutes of energetic skipping. It’s amazing how the exercise mounts up, and it’s really helped me. Sit ups are great for focusing on tummies, as are “air cycles” (where you lay on your back, support your hips with your hands & raise your legs up over your body & cycle in the air). Good luck, I hope you get results.

  • Firstly you need to remember that it WILL take time to come off. Secondly, it depends what type of exercise you’re doing. If you’re only doing cardio/conditioning work then it’s going to take a lot longer to get rid of it compared to if you’re doing both conditioning and weight exercises. By weight exercises I mean working with dumbbells, kettlebells and barbells. In terms of nutrition, changing the way you eat can mean a lot of things, but that too will take a while to adapt to and get results from.

I would recommend taking a multivitamin and minimum of 4 fish oil capsules a day, start to incorporate weight training and conditioning into your routine of exercise (if you haven’t already) and of course with nutrition avoid processed foods, focus on eating plenty of protein and veggies with some fruit thrown in there.

I don’t normally like to advertise my business in these answers but it seems like a lot of mums struggle with their belly and I’d really like to be able help..well everyone really. If you go to ministryofstrength.com.au (we’re listed under health in the MoM directory) and send us an email I can help you a lot more and give you a tailored program to help you lose the belly. If that’s not an option for you though, I wish you luck and just remember you WILL get there, it’s just about sticking with it and KNOWING you can do it. Because everyone can, you just need to believe it 🙂

  • Good on for quitting smoking, your health will improve out of sight. Perservere with all the good things you’re doing. Do as much exercise, even incidental activity helps, as you can. Drink green tea. It does take time and then tummies do look better.

  • Hi love maybe give it works a go mag me and I’ll sis details to you 🙂 Goodluck 0421 177 043
