Hello!

I’m just asking for the exact measurements for removing mould from the sealant in the kitchen. I know to use bi carb and vinegar, but how much of each and do I put both on straight away or what? TIA ladies x

  • i hope you found some good answers

  • vinegar and bi carb will fizz when mixed. so what I do is, sprinkle bi carb over area or rub in then maybe get a spray bottle with vinegar and spray. this will fizz and should help. I sometimes wipe over with bleach. that will fix problem.

  • If its under the sealant you’ll need to remove and redo 🙁

  • If it is on the sealant cleaning will work, but if the mould is in the sealant you need to redo

  • You could always re grout.

  • my mum uses bleach 🙂

  • I just use a mould killer on mine, and everytime I clean the sink (nightly) I wipe a little milton around the seals, this seems to prevent it forming which seems a little easier than removing it once grown.

  • I agree as well to remove the seal and start over

  • Clove oil might work but you are better off to remove it and re-seal it. It isn’t as hard as you think. Google how to do it instructions if you aren’t sure.

  • Eucalyptus oil might help remove it

  • Bleach will NOT kill mold only ammonia will kill it and take away the mycotoxins. Best natural remedies are oil of clove or thieves oil.

  • Bleach is the only thing that will kill mold

  • Clove oil is fantastic

  • Lavender Oil. It literally runs off the tiles! just add a bit of water and sock a cloth run it over and your laughing!

  • Replacing the sealant is the best solution. We had the same problem and the professionals recommended a replacement as opposed to “cleaning”, which doesn’t actually kill the mold.

  • You actually remove the sealant and start again with anti mould version. You just strip it out. They to replace check you tube. It’s easy if you are a DIY er or get someone to do it for you.

  • Tea tree oil will kill bacteria once you got rid. Of it

  • Bleach, my boyfriend builds houses and that’s what they do

  • Mould Power by OzKleen, their products are awesome & you’d be supporting a local family business.

  • Exitmould works quite well and easy to use…
